Creating a Global Community Through Content
The Project Management Institute (PMI) is a not-for-profit membership organization that offers certifications, resources, education and community to help project professionals succeed.
To help attract, educate and empower their audience, we created a content marketing program we’ve helped them grow over two decades.
A Program Built to Evolve
It started with a monthly print magazine that became one of the most valued member benefits. From there we added regional supplements and special issues covering timely topics. The content mix became increasingly digital over time but never lost its resonance.
Social Storytelling
Our “stop the scroll” strategy added depth and actionable takeaways to PMI’s social feed. Highly visual, highly relevant content kept members engaged across channels and locations.
Making Membership More Meaningful
We marked PMI’s 50th anniversary with a blitz that included a coffee-table book and graphic novel insert. We celebrated the PMI community’s volunteer efforts with an Hours for Impact content program that included digital features, social storytelling and an ebook. And we helped launch trailblazing franchises like the 50 Most Influential Projects and the Future 50 program celebrating up-and-coming project professionals.
Staying Topical
Project professionals see their roles change and evolve constantly, so we bring real-world reporting to the program. The annual jobs report provides an insider’s view into the latest must-have skills, and content is atomized across channels and formats.
Projectified Podcast
We’re proud to produce PMI’s biweekly Projectified® podcast featuring forward-looking discussions across a range of topics, from innovation to Agile to career development.
