The MX Group Serves on MLK Day

On Monday, January 15, The MX Group’s employees gathered in and around Chicago for the B2B agency’s third annual Day of Service. The leadership and human resources teams extended an invitation to all MX’ers — based in Chicagoland and across the country — to join in organized opportunities to support local charities.

As Martin Luther King Jr. once proclaimed, “Everybody can be great because everybody can serve … You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love.” King’s dedication to serving others continues to inspire action for a better future.

This year, MX’ers showed up and spent their day off as a “day on” by volunteering at an impactful charity within the community. Volunteers sorted clothing, organized medical supplies, packed frozen food and produce for food deliveries, walked, shopped, and more for the following organizations.

Beyond Hunger provides hunger-relief programming and services to 13 ZIP codes across Cook County, including portions of Chicago and its near-west suburbs.

Cradles to Crayons supports children from birth to age 12 who are experiencing homelessness or low-income situations. The children receive the essentials they need, such as clothing and school supplies, at no cost to them.

Evanston Walk for Warmth brings volunteers together to walk a circuit of downtown Evanston churches, each of which serves as a host to the Interfaith Action of Evanston (IAE) Overnight Shelter. Walkers raise money through donations and sponsorships.

Project C.U.R.E. addresses the shortage of medical resources around the world. It distributes donated medical supplies, equipment and services to doctors and nurses serving the sick and dying in more than 135 countries.
