Nathan A. Ulery Named COO of The Mx Group
After spending nearly 20 years building and growing technology consulting practices at West Monroe Partners, Nathan A. Ulery has joined The Mx Group as chief operating officer. In his new role, Ulery will lead corporate functions and leverage his experience to inform digital strategy for the organization. Nate’s background includes delivering large-scale technology transformations with clients, leading three different technology consulting practices, integrating acquisitions, and building leadership teams.
“Nate has found himself at the intersection of technology and business throughout his career, and he played a key part in the growth of his last firm from 12 professionals to over 1,200. He has a passion for developing leaders. We couldn’t be happier to have him join us during this pivotal time of change and growth,” said Andy Mahler, The Mx Group’s CEO and founder.
“The Mx Group has been on a strong growth trajectory, even during the 2020 pandemic, and I am thrilled to join this great team and work alongside some of the brightest B2B marketers and digital architects in the business,” said Ulery. “It’s an exciting time for us as we deliver measurable value to clients through our unique combination of strategy, creative, digital and demand capabilities.”

Ulery joins Tony Riley — The Mx Group’s president — and a tenured group of other senior team leaders as the next generation of leadership at The Mx Group.
“The Mx Group’s culture, its commitment to its values, and its people were three major areas that attracted me to make this move,” said Ulery. “In addition, Tony and the team have a clear vision of how to take this business to the next level, while continuing to enhance our culture as we grow. I am incredibly excited to partner with them in the years ahead.”
In addition to his work at The Mx Group, Ulery will continue to serve on the board of directors at Chicago Scholars — an organization that uniquely selects, trains and mentors academically ambitious students from under-resourced communities to complete college and become the next generation of leaders who will transform their neighborhoods and Chicago.
