Account Manager at The Mx Group Wins 2013 BMA Chicago Rising Star Award
CHICAGO, Ill. (September 12, 2013) — The Mx Group, a marketing and technology services company, is pleased to announce that Account Manager Alex Fraser is the recipient of the Business Marketing Association Chicago (BMA Chicago) 2013 Rising Star Award.
In his first year as an account manager, Fraser worked to help drive sales for a high-cost, high-consideration product for The Mx Group’s client Siemens Large Drives Applications division. Spearheading solution-development efforts to meet the client’s annual revenue goals, Fraser understood it was imperative to increase the usage of the company’s internal sales portal. After a year of collaboration with research and development teams, product engineers and sales representatives, the sales portal has driven substantial revenue for Siemens — surpassing client expectations as well as The Mx Group’s internal goals.
“Alex is a steward of the Siemens brand within the agency. He understands that marketing’s job is to drive sales, and his steadfast focus on the Siemens pipeline is evident in his results,” said Tony Riley, account supervisor at The Mx Group and Fraser’s manager. “The day I promoted Alex, I told him that we lead from the front — and he hasn’t turned back since.”
The BMA Chicago Rising Star Award honors young professionals who demonstrate an outstanding contribution to business-to-business marketing in one or more of the following disciplines: creative, media, strategy, results and analysis. Managers and supervisors nominate members of their teams who have demonstrated one or more of the following:
• Marked development in their marketing / creative / project management / media / analysis skills
• Proven problem-solving / creative brainstorming that led to eventual client solution
• Success over a difficult marketing problem / question for a client
• Contributions above and beyond in training / mentoring a new or junior team member
A total of eight professionals were nominated and the award was announced at the September 2013 BMA Marketing Innovators Luncheon with BMA Chicago President Jason Ferrara in attendance.
